That seems like a lot of jewelry, to be taken all in one shop. It also sounds like these crooks must have taken the time to map this robbery out. Where do they even go to get money to cash in on the jewelry? It’s not like they can go to a local pawn shop and ask how much can they get for the stolen jewelry. Here is what we know now and will be keeping you posted on this story.
Million Dollar Jewelry Heist At Ocean County Mall And Here Is What Went Down
According to Toms River police Chief Mitch Little, these jewelry bandits broke into Venzio Jewelers after the mall was closed, and entered around 8 PM on Wednesday. Check this out, these robbers must have known exactly, where to go and how to get in. Chief Little did report that they went into a vacant store next to Venzio Jewelers and got in through a hole in the wall.
The thieves got into the store’s office, then they cut the telephone systems and disabled the alarm. They even had some heavy gear strapped with them, as they torched and opened a safe where the expensive jewelry was.
These guys were something out of a movie because they stuck strictly to the vault, and touched nothing on the showroom floor. Anyone with information please contact Detective Michael McDonald at 732-349-0150 at extension 1366.
