Just in time for the Holidays, a Christmas themed murder mystery is coming to the Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center in the Lincroft section of Middletown, on Saturday December 14th.
According to a press release from the college, at 765 Newman Springs Rd in Lincroft, attendees should get ready for an evening of holiday cheer with a twist of mystery as the Murder Mystery Co. brings The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year to Brookdale Community College’s Performing Arts Center. Join the festivities on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8 PM for a night filled with intrigue, laughter, and suspense.
Silver bells are ringing at this seasonal standup performance, but the jolly jokester gets upstaged by an event far worse than bad holiday comedy: a murder! With humbug hovering over the holiday cheer, it is up to the unamused audience to unravel the mystery of whodunnit, much like last year’s tacky knitted holiday sweater. While murder is making the night not-so-merry-and-bright, you must gather information, bribe your guests for clues, and solve the crime before this comedy act becomes a tragedy!
Be picked as a suspect
To add to the festive murder mystery fun, find your most joyous holiday attire to make this event a colorful spectacle as you seek to solve the crime! Ugly sweaters, garb gifted from the in-laws fit only for the back of the closet, and garish color clashes will be all the rage at this merry event.
Tickets are $35 + Fees (Includes dessert, coffee/tea/water, and the show), and can be purchased here. Please note that this performance may contain adult themes. Seating is limited, so be sure to secure your spot early for this unique and festive holiday event.

Monmouth County Restaurants Serving A Succulent Thanksgiving Buffet This Year
Here are 7 restaurants who are open on November 28th, and are serving up delicious turkey and so much more as part of their Thanksgiving Buffet in Monmouth County.
Now that I've told you about the Ocean County restaurants hosting a Thanksgiving Buffet this year, I can turn my attention to Monmouth County. Right off the bat, let me say the amount of restaurants here in Monmouth serving up a Thanksgiving Buffet is quite a bit more than Ocean County, from my research.
It Didn't Take Long To Come Up With 7 Great Places
There are such iconic restaurants dotted all over Monmouth County. I knew I had to start there. And true to form, most of them are open on Turkey Day! However not all are hosting a Thanksgiving Buffet. Instead, many are opting for a more traditional ala carte menu. With options for main course other than turkey to satisfy those "interesting" folk who want anything but the bird on the last Thursday of November.
Luckily, some old standbys are doing buffets and when I glanced at the menus, I was quite impressed. I did find two things that contrasted from the list of Ocean County places. For one, there is a definite price point difference amongst some of the Monmouth County restaurants as compared to the vast majority of the Ocean County places. With one notable exception, and that was my other surprise. One of my favorite Monmouth County restaurants, and one that I didn't figure would do a Thanksgiving Buffet, is not only hosting one, but it turns out to be the most affordable in either county!
With that said, I think all of the buffets on both lists are quite affordable considering the amount of quality food presented to the diner. Each has it's own flair and special recipes I'm sure the chefs are quite proud of. From stuffing to veggies. Mashed potatoes to candied yams. To masterfully crafted desserts. There will be happy faces all over Monmouth County this year thanks to these succulent Thanksgiving Buffets.

This upstairs cozy venue is the perfect place to take in the views of the Atlantic while gorging yourself on masterfully crafted Thanksgiving faire. The $50 for adults buffet features 3 stations, and a raw bar, in addition to the usual chaffing dish offerings. Here is that dynamic menu.
The American Hotel 18 East Main Street Freehold
Easily the most expensive of all the Thanksgiving Buffets I found at 69 bucks per adult, according to their website, the buffet is served from 1:00pm – 6:00pm, with favorites including turkey, ham and all the sides.

The Molly Pitcher Inn 88 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank
