Monmouth County Announces Second Snowplow Naming Contest
Monmouth County has announced their second snowplow naming contest for 5th graders. Last year’s snowplow naming contest was so much fun, they’re doing it again. The contest is open to 5th graders in Freehold.
The Monmouth County Department of Transportation cooked up a fun idea for kids last year and the kids came out in force. So many responses were received that they actually named two snowplows last year.
Last Years Snowplow Naming Contest Winners
The 2023 winners of the Monmouth County Snowplow naming contest were “Snow Force One” and “The Fast and the Flurrious”. Classic names for sure, thanks to the creative minds of a student at Amerigo A. Anastasia Elementary in Long Branch and Woodrow Wilson School in Neptune City.

What will the kids come up with for the 2024 contest? Time will tell!

Some Possible Suggestions
We had a laugh in the studio about the snowplow naming contest for 5th graders so we channeled our inner 10 year old and came up with these suggestions:
Plowie McPlowface
Driveway Backfiller
Karen
Snow Zilla
Bride of Snow Zilla
Better Call Salt
Seriously, consider Karen.
