Flavor Flav Officially Teams Up With Red Lobster To Save The Company
Flavor Flav has officially teamed up with Red Lobster to help save them from further restaurant closings.
Last month, Red Lobster, America’s largest seafood chain known for its all you can eat shrimp promotion and those addictive Cheddar Bay biscuits, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Is Red Lobster Going Away For Good?
That doesn’t mean they are going to close every Red Lobster location across the country. It means they have to reduce the amount of restaurants in order to stay afloat.
According to the muckety mucks at Red Lobster, it intends to use the bankruptcy proceedings to “drive operational improvements, simplify the business through a reduction in locations, and pursue a sale of substantially all of its assets.”
Rumors of mass closures are unlikely which means we can breathe a sigh of relief. We have a very busy Red Lobster restaurant on Hooper Avenue in Toms River that we all love.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy is often referred to as “reorganization bankruptcy” and typically allows a business to stay open while it reorganizes funds to pay off existing debt over time.
After Red Lobster made that announcement, Rapper and hype man, Flavor Flav took immediate action to try and save the restaurant by purchasing everything on the menu. The news went viral on his “X” social media account.
Flav and his daughter enjoyed most of the large spread they ordered and left with just 2 boxes of the grub to take home.
Fast forward a few weeks to discover that Flav has officially become a spokesperson for the seafood restaurant chain.
According to People magazine, On Monday, June 10, the seafood chain unveiled a partnership with the hip-hop legend. The unlikely duo announced that Red Lobster’s Crabfest is officially back.
“Yeah Boyeeeee!” Flavor Flav, 65, exclaims at the start of the commercial. “When the internet said Red Lobster is going away, boy Flavor Flav said not today!”
At Crabfest, patrons can order a full pound of steamed wild-caught crab legs with the flavor options or simply steamed. Red Lobster is also introducing a new $20 creamy crab carbonara, a new crab and lobster duo and a new snow crab and crab-topped steak.
