Geese Gassed at New Jersey Airport: Protest Planned
An animal rights organization is getting protests together for this Saturday because they are outraged over the fact that they are going to euthanize geese at Teterboro Airport.
According to the Animal Protection League of New Jersey (APLNJ), The airport has been working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services program to gas Canada geese and other bird species and mammals for a long time, as a means of population control.
Here Is The Run Down On The Protest On Gassing Geese At Teterboro Airport
Each year the Canadian Geese lose their flight feathers leaving them to the point they can’t fly. At this point, the USDA is hired to round up the fowl, including adults, and families, and gas them to death. Check this out it can take up to 45 minutes and the APLNJ says that is straight-up cruelty at the highest level.
In 2022, the Teterboro Airport had gassed up to 827 “innocent geese” according to APLNJ, and they want to take action.
The protest is on Saturday, June 1 from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at 111 Industrial Ave and Route 46 East in Teterboro in front of the Teterboro Blue Airport sign.

People Coming Up With Other Ideas: Video
Some great ideas have been coming across the table to help save the geese, and one stood out, where they use drones to push the geese away from the airport. It’s pretty cool and looks a lot safer, and no harm to the geese. Check out the video right here.
I love the fact they call it herding like they are sheep! Nonetheless, it seems like it works, it keeps the geese from getting gassed.
