WATCH: Paddleboarder Gets Up Close With Whale In Bay Head
Hey there Rat Rock nation, this story is so unbelievable! A New Jersey paddle boarder came within feet of a whale popping up out of the water in Bay Head.
His name is Frank Restivo, and he is from Ocean County. He not only told the story to Gotts, but showed him the video that Frank caught on his GoPro camera. (Keep Reading for that footage)
Frank is really into paddle boarding, and on this particular day back in July, he saw something out in the distance. When he saw a tail pop up, he got curious so he went to investigate. At that point, some of the water started jumping. This turned out to be some fish that the whale was looking to get a snack on.
New Jersey Paddle Boarder Gets Very Cool Video Of Whale
In this video, you will see Frank paddle right up to the whale, and after the whale got his food it went back down to the ocean. He looked to be about 100 yards off the shoreline when he captured this. Frank will have a tale to tell that’s for sure and here at 95.9 The Rat we thank him for sharing.
Just talking to him you can tell, he was taken aback by the whole experience. Not many people can share a story like this, or even a lot of us have to spend money to get up close and personal to see a whale.
So enjoy the video, and share it with our other Jersey natives. Thank you for taking the time out to check this story out and always rocking out with me and 95.9 The Rat. You can get more stories by clicking right HERE. Much LOVE and CHEERS. – Gotts
