Toms River Drive Thru Taco-Tastic Finally Opens!!
The drive- thru Taco-Tastic location on Route 37 East has finally opened and Toms River folks are excited. I drove by yesterday, (Friday, May 31st) and I saw the place was open. The WRAT’s own, Jimmy Steal wrote about this last October and we’ve been talking about it since.
Where Is The Drive Thru Taco-Tastic?
What was once the Farm Store, a drive-thru convenience store made up of two modified storage containers on Route 37 East at Lowell Avenue, is now a drive thru for fans of this local Mexican eatery.
Owners, Giovanni Bautista and Micaela Herrera opened their first Taco-Tastic store on Fisher Boulevard in Toms River back in 2017. They added another on Main Street in Toms River, and a few years later, they added the Lanoka Harbor store, the Seaside Heights boardwalk location, and more recently, the Brick location in Red Lion Plaza on Hooper Avenue.
Now we have another drive-thru restaurant on Route 37. We already have Checkers, Popeyes,, Dunkin’, & Taco Bell.
Look out Taco Bell, Taco-Tastic has a leg up. Taco-Tastic’s food is way more authentic and made from fresh ingredients. Plus, they offer items that you can’t get at the fast food chain.
You’re not getting freshly made tamales or tortas at Taco Bell. At Taco-Tastic, you can have both of those items along with, chilaquiles, Mexican hot dogs, huge authentic burritos, Elote (Mexican street corn on the cob), and on weekends their famous Birria Des Res items with a cup of their flavorful consommé.
On your way to the beach, or on your way home from work, just stop at the Taco-Tastic drive thru, right across from Wawa on Route 37 East and grab a real authentic Mexican meal.
I warn you, the tacos, empanadas, and many other items on their huge menu are so delicious, you’ll become a customer for life.
The fish tacos are a big favorite, they’re made with battered cod and topped with creamy chipotle mayo. If you want a great breakfast experience, order the breakfast taco made with your choice of bacon, egg & cheese, ham, egg, & cheese, steak, egg and cheese, or chorizo, egg, & cheese.
If it’s your first time heading to Taco-Tastic, you best look over the menu before leaving the house.
