Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here and usually I’m in a good mood…but I gotta tell ya…the Yankees have destroyed my soul. They fell to Boston yesterday…making it the first time since 1995 that the Yankees have lost eight straight games. And yet…SILENCE from owner Hal Steinbrenner.

How Hal has not read the room and listened to the fanbase and FIRED general manager Brian Cashman by now is completely embarrassing. Cashman put together this roster…and it’s filled with average players, journeymen, and role players. Where are the stars? Why did Cashman not go after megastar Bryce Harper when Harper wanted to be a Yankee?
Why didn’t Cashman sign All-Star Manny Machado when he said he’d like to play in the Bronx? How did Cashman not get Juan Soto when he was available and indicated he’d like to be a Yankee? Why is this happening?!

Hal needs to fire Cashman today and get one of the following to replace him. Number One: Theo Epstein. As a gm/president of the Red Sox…broke their 86-year curse in 2004 and won a World Series. Then as gm/president of the Cubs…he broke their 108-year curse and won a World Series with that team, too! My Lord! He is currently without a team and working for Major League Baseball as an official.

Number Two: Brian Sabean. Currently employed…by the New York Yankees! That’s right! The guy who, as general manager of the San Francisco Giants, won the World Series in 2010…2012…and 2014! And he’s working for the team! Kick Cashman out and put Sabean in! Right away!

Hal Steinbrenner must come to grips with the fact that things need to completely change. Clean house. Fire Cashman. It needs to happen, Hal. For the fans’ sake. I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents…now on to the Scoreboard!

Let’s start with baseball. Where the Yankees are an absolute disaster…the Yanks lost to the Red Sox yesterday…6 to 5. The Yanks are now 4 games under .500 at 60 and 64 and are embarrassing to watch. The Yankees are now in very serious danger of ending their streak of 30 consecutive winning seasons. Fire Brian Cashman now.
