Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac is back with another Sports Report for ya! And I’ll admit…I am PISSED!
The Yankees have hit rock bottom as the Yanks suffered the worst loss of the season yesterday…they lose to the Miami Marlins 8 to 7 after heading into the bottom of the 9th with a 7 to 3 lead.
First, the Yanks blew another game where Gerrit Cole should have won…Cole threw six innings giving up just two runs while striking out six. But the bullpen was a disaster…namely Clay Holmes…who gave up four runs in the ninth to receive the loss. The Yankees end up losing two outta three to the Marlins…and are now 60 and 58. It’s over. The Yankees need to fire general manager Brian Cashman and NOW.

I don’t know what Hal Steinbrenner is waiting for. Does he have ANY of the passion that his father George had? Does he care about winning at ALL? Does this fancy-haircut stooge even want to own the damn team?!

Cashman made NO MOVES at the trade deadline…he’s been terrible with free agency…his trades don’t pan out (think Donaldson, Gallo, Hicks, etc.)…and he is just long-in-the-tooth as a G.M. Cashman has been there for 25 years…enough is enough. It’s time for NEW BLOOD. Get some guts, Hal, and fire Cashman at once! The fans demand it! I’m Davey Mac…that’s my two cents!

Basketball. The Knicks’ excellent point guard Jalen Brunson led Team USA to a big win over Spain yesterday…98 to 88. Brunson was perfect from the field…9 for 9 for 21 points. Spain had been ranked #1 with the U.S. ranked at #2 in the world according to FIBA…but Brunson’s performance may have gotten the Americans back at #1.

10 Best NFL Teams Going Into the 2023 Season
Football season is officially here. That’s cause to rejoice, in my book. I really don’t want to see summer end, but the good thing about it is that football is starting up. So, who are the best NFL teams going into the 2023 season?
Of course, everyone has their opinion. But, that opinion is often, or should be, based on fact. Certain teams going into the new season made good on their draft picks, while others kind of flubbed up. Also, many teams – such as the Kansas City Chiefs – have been tough to beat for years. So, of course, they’re going to be favorites.
Before I get into my personal picks for the 10 NFL teams going into the 2023 season, let’s talk about some of the weaker teams. What’s shocking is that the Los Angeles Rams are considered one of the weakest teams this year. I mean, we’re just two years out from their Super Bowl win. So, that’s somewhat surprising. Then again, it’s not surprising seeing their performance last season. I’m ranking them in the bottom five of NFL teams, because I just don’t see them having the players and coaching chemistry to go far this year. That said, they should still bask in the light of their Super Bowl victory.
Also at the bottom of the pack are the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. Both teams have struggled for years, and they just don’t seem to be making the right decisions on and off the field. Who knows, maybe these teams will turn it around and surprise us. But, right now, the Cardinals, Colts and Rams are looking rough.
So, who are the best NFL teams going into the 2023 season? Read on for my thoughts. Also, I’m a sports podcaster and host a podcast about the Detroit Lions called “The Squad with Anne Erickson.” Find my podcast here and reach out to me on socials here with your NFL thoughts.
