Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Bobby Mahoney “We Go On” Live at SXSW
“We Go On” EP Available now!
Bobby Mahoney can check something awesome off the bucket list. The band just rocked South By Southwest! The Jersey Rock vets took the stage at the Continental Club in Austin as part of Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records Review. Fellow Jersey Rockers Soraia were also on the bill. Speaking on Jersey Rock about the opportunity, Bobby Mahoney said:
“(we’re) honored that our Austin debut is a SXSW showcase. We are excited to get a taste of the culture and are looking forward to catching other artists (and some great food) while we are in town!“
By all accounts the band made the most out of their Austin, TX debut. It comes as no surprise to anyone who has seen Bobby Mahoney live. If you attend one of their performances you’ll get much more than what you pay for. Speaking to their performance style Mahoney said:
“When I was a kid, my friend, Matt Hogan, told me to play every show like we are playing Madison Square Garden, and we have really taken that advice to heart. We approach every show as a chance to improve, to learn, and to strengthen our bonds within ourselves and our audiences.”
That approach served them well at South By Southwest. We’re stoked part of their set was recorded and is now available for the world to watch. YouTuber Rick Dalberg captured the band’s performance of “We Go On” and posted it to his channel. One viewer wrote:
“I love this so much! Thank you for sharing!!!!”
We’d also like to thank Rick Dalberg for sharing! It was an important moment for Bobby Mahoney. We’re looking forward to many more!
“We Go On” is the title track to Bobby Mahoney’s latest EP. Find it and stay on top of everything the band is doing at bobbymahoneymusic.com.

These 9 Places Have New Jersey’s Favorite Chili Dogs
These 9 places have New Jersey hot dog aficionado’s favorite chili dogs.
Chili dogs in New Jersey are a dime a dozen. But which places standout? North Jersey is the king of hot dog joints and most of them offer chili dogs. I’ve heard people call South Jersey a hot dog wasteland, including John Fox.
John is an ambassador to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council and Co-founder of Hot Dog Nation. In a previous article John said,” I’ve been to close to 200 Hot Dog establishments. South Jersey for the most part is a hot dog wasteland. However, arguably the best hot dog in the state is served at Maui’s in Wildwood. Their brand is Hofmann’s German hot dog; a pork, beef, and veal blend and the best hot dog in my opinion.
Sorry John, I disagree about South Jersey being a hot dog wasteland. It may not be as prominent as North Jersey, but it’s got quite a few good places to grab a good hot dog.
I used to hit up a hot dog wagon in Tuckerton that has one of the best Sabrett chili dogs around. They’re called The Country Dog. Located at 312 E Main St, Tuckerton, NJ 08087. I haven’t been down that way lately, not sure if they’re still there.
I could do a list of the best hot dogs in South Jersey another time. Right now, we’re focusing on chili dogs.
I hit up a few prominent hot dog social media sites in search of New Jersey’s favorite chili dogs, including John’s Facebook page, “Hot Dog Nation.”
I absolutely adore chili dogs of any kind. Spicy chili is probably my favorite. I also like chili dogs topped with raw onion.
I now have a long list of places to go in the state of New Jersey for some of the best chili dogs in the tri-state area.
I love being able to go to the hot dog experts for their descriptive opinions on where to get hot dogs of any kind.
Let’s take a look at 9 places these fine folks rank as some of the best chili dogs in the state of New Jersey,
