Customers Stop Man With Machete At Collingwood Flea Market
Well Rat Rockers, it looks like some customers stopped a man from doing some harm. Sometimes trouble can be found anywhere. It was at the Collingwood Auction And Flea Market in Farmingdale.
Police reported, that this past Saturday a 39-year-old Bayville man walked into the Flea Market with a large blade. Some would call this long blade a machete. The police said the reason he went there with the huge blade was to confront a 40-year-old gentleman from Neptune over money.
The money that was apparently owed was over car repairs.
Customers Stepped In To Stop This Man And Here Is What Happened:
People did hear an argument start and stepped in and stopped it from becoming a fight according to Howell Police.
Thankfully the machete was never used on anyone. Thank God for some really brave people at Collingwood Flea Market this past Saturday the 24th. I’m sure at that moment everyone was scared and not knowing what was going on. The man did end up getting back to his car and left without getting any of the cash.
Eatontown police caught up with him just around 12 noon and he was arrested. He will face charges of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and terroristic threats. He will be held at Monmouth County Correctional Institution and waiting to face a judge.
Sadly in today’s world we have to keep an eye out no matter where we go. See something out of place, make sure you say something. Better to be safe than sorry as they say.
