(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Free The Witness LIVE at the Stone Pony
Rocking Arelene’s Grocery in NYC on December 23!
Fresh off blowing the roof off of Salty’s Beach Bar in Lake Como, Asbury Park Punk Rockers Free The Witness will bring their high-energy stage show to Arlene’s Grocery in New York on December 23! Mark your calendar now!
That tradition continues later this month when Free The Witness takes it to New York City just a couple of days before Christmas. Don’t miss them on December 23 at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City. Message the band on social media for advance tickets or score them HERE.
Free The Witness is currently working with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at his Little Eden Studio on their upcoming album “Youth of Tomorrow.” Expect it to be released some time next year. The band recently released 2 killer singles. They include title track off the upcoming album and their latest release “Soldier, Soldier.” We spoke with bandmates Jake and Chris a few weeks ago on Jersey Rock to chat about their latest tunes.
Jake said:
“When I was in elementary school there was a civil war tune we were taught to sing in the choir
Chris continued:
“Its actually taken from a 16th century tune. We turned it into a Pop Punk song for the 21st century”
“Solider Soldier” is without a doubt a high-energy tune and it definitely feels like a restored classic. Check it out along with Free The Witness’ other releases on spotify!

These Monmouth & Ocean County Places Will Cater Your Christmas & New Year's Eve Holiday Gathering
Don’t feel like cooking? Inviting a ton of friends and relatives to your home for the holidays and having to cook for all of them can be really overwhelming. You should call your local caterer, restaurant, favorite deli, or specialty store, and let them do all the work.
It usually takes me a week or so to plan a holiday feast. My process starts with giving lots of thought to the side dishes and desserts that will make the meal spectacular. If I’m doing all or some of the cooking, my passion kicks in while coming up with a list of items that accompany the main dish. If a large crowd is expected, I will almost always make way too much. If you’re like me, you’re exhausted just thinking about doing all that work. How about letting someone else do all the heavy lifting? All you have to do is sit back and make a phone call.
Delicious catering options for a festive Christmas & New Year’s Eve.
The following places will do all the cooking and, in some cases, even deliver the food. Even if you have to pick up your order, it may be worth it. You can spend time getting the house ready for your guests. When your guests arrive, there will be more time for you to spend with them instead of slaving over a hot stove while your friends and family are in the den or the living room drinking all your booze.
I made sure to include a few vegan options. I don’t want to leave anyone out. Vegan options are listed last on the page.
Start making the guest list, and please take into account who has food allergies so you can be prepared when they arrive.
