Check Out The Floating Tiki Bar In Seaside Heights!
RJ’s Twisted Tiki Tours is located off of Route 35, right on the bay in Seaside Heights, and you can rent it for 2 hours with a captain!
My daughter and I went to try breakfast at one of our favorite outdoor dinner spots on the barrier island, Sunsets Seafood Restaurant. While I was enjoying my Mexican Omelet with extra jalapenos (don’t judge!), I looked to my right, and across the dock. There I noticed a small shack selling clams, crabs, and beer among other items. So, naturally when we were leaving I strolled up to the shack to investigate. However, I soon realized none of that mattered! There was a freaking floating tiki bar in the water!
Meanwhile, it turns out that the shack is not just a place to by bait and beer. It’s also the place to sign up for RJ’s Twisted Tiki Tours. A boat, with a tiki bar for a bow. Or on the bow. Well honestly I don’t know how the hell they did it, or to describe it. Other than just showing you a few photos I took. Meanwhile, my 21 year old daughter immediately started asking the teenaged girl in the shack a million questions about it
. She didn’t have many answers other than to tell us it’s part of RJ’s Watercraft Rentals there. They rent all types of watercraft from jet skis and wave runners to pontoon boats, and yes, a friggin’ tiki bar.
Since the young lady didn’t have many answers, and the owners were out on the water, I got home and looked into it for myself. You can rent the tiki bar boat with a captain for 400 dollars for a 2 hour tour of Barnegat Bay. Furthermore, the tours take place at different times throughout the day. Morning brunch tours, lunch and late afternoon tours, even a sunset cruise. All the details can be found at their website: https://www.rjswatercraftrentals.com/rjs-twisted-tiki-tours/
Moreover, the tours are BYOB, and bring your own food. The crew provides a cooler, ice, plastic cups and bottled water.
