Bacon Lovers WATCH OUT: Bacon Can Raise Your Risk Of Dementia by 13%
Well, this sucks…
A new study just came out that bacon can raise your risk of dementia by 13%. Here is the scoop on this study: a team of researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health just released this new report, with data going back almost 50 YEARS. The bad news gets worse when considering it’s not just bacon; adding hot dogs, sausage, pepperoni, and ham increases the risk of dementia by 13%.
This study was conducted by people who averaged just 0.25 servings per day, or about two servings per week. The experts who did this study did say this “increased risk” could be changed by replacing bacon with salmon, or any fish. In reality, who is waking up and having fish instead of bacon? That just sounds nasty.
A Bacon ‘Bit” Of Gotts’ Thoughts
If you don’t know if you know already, Carl Craft from the Morning Rat Race just gave me a couple of slabs of homemade bacon and I’ll be honest, it was delicious. It didn’t give me any dementia, cause I can still remember how good it was.
It was so good, that the smell from it carried upstairs to my neighbor’s nose and even he ran down to see what it was. My thoughts are even from the movie ‘Pulp Fiction’ where John Travolta’s character says “Bacon Taste Good,” and he is 100% right. I’ve been eating bacon my whole life, and if I don’t remember anything I blame not bacon but maybe a long night at the bar.
