WATCH: Philly Mayor Had Some Trouble Spelling Out “Eagles”

If you’re an Eagles fan, we know you love your team and your city, but when the Philly Mayor is trying to do the E-A-G-L-E-S chant and spells it all…

UNITED STATES - AUGUST 6: Cherelle Parker, mayor of Philadelphia, speaks during a rally to kick off the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, Democratic nominee for president, and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pa., on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

If you're an Eagles fan, we know you love your team and your city, but when the Philly Mayor is trying to do the E-A-G-L-E-S chant and spells it all wrong it comes across as pretty funny.

The Philadelphia mayor is Cherelle Parker and she was doing a LOVE Park pep rally and then decided to shout out the team but spelled it out “E-L-G-S-E-S Eagles!"

According to reports, she made light of the situation and laughed at her mistake. So it is nice to know she has a sense of humor after the mistake. “We don’t promise perfection, I’m so happy I never have, especially after I couldn’t spell Eagles right,” Parker said during a press conference the other night.

Gotts' Thoughts On The Philly Mayor Blunder

I know we all make mistakes, for a minute when writing this I had to make sure I was spelling 'Eagles' right. My predictions are saying the Eagles will go to the Big Game this year and will take on the Buffalo Bills. Eagles this year, has Saquon Barkley and that dude is just a beast on the field, and I also think this is his year to shine. Now I am no Eagles fan by any means but I will take them to win it all this year.

I host football at Bar A on Sunday and I will say this about the Eagles fans, THEY ARE FUN, CRAZY, AND LOUD, but all in good fun. I love them and they know how to party and they are always raising their glasses on Miller Lite.

Thank you for taking the time out to check this story out and as always rocking out with us here on 95.9 The Rat. You can get more stories by clicking right HERE. Much LOVE and CHEERS.- Gotts

According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals. His favorite movie is Point Break, and is a big lover of Miller Lite. His favorite words to live by are “The windshield is always bigger than the rearview mirror”.
