Shaq’s home state of New Jersey is getting it’s first Big Chicken Restaurant.
Big Chicken is a fast-casual chicken sandwich restaurant co-owned by the former NBA superstar & Newark native.
Where Can I Find Big Chicken In N.J.?
Big Chicken will be opening July 18th in the Village at Bridgewater Commons.
It’s the chain’s first location in the Garden State.
According to NJBizcom, Big Chicken has 18 restaurants open across 16 states. The brand is also found on four Carnival Cruise ships, in the Kansas City International Airport, at sports venues such as UBS Arena on Long Island, N.Y., and business hubs like Philadelphia’s Comcast Center.
New Jersey residents and franchisees Aditya Patel, and Chad Patel, (no relation), plan to open five more Big Chicken locations in Middlesex, Mercer and Somerset counties.
Big Chicken Chief Executive Officer Josh Halpern expressed excitement over the upcoming launch.
“Bridgewater Commons is just a short drive away from my house, which is how I know that Chad and Adi chose the perfect location for their first Big Chicken restaurant in New Jersey,” he stated. “It’s crazy to think that in less than three years of franchising, we’re now developing a location in my own backyard. My family and I are counting down the days until the opening and look forward to being there to support this incredible team!”
What’s On The Menu At Big Chicken?
Big Chicken’s tagline is: Big Food, Big Flavor, Big Fun. The chain offers crispy chicken tenders and Cheez-It® mac & cheese, as well as yummy crispy chicken sandwiches like, The Ultimate – A fried chicken sandwich with mac & cheese, crispy fried onions, roasted garlic bbq aioli, Uncle Jerome’s Nashville Hot – Nashville hot chicken, lettuce, mayo, & pickles. The chain also offers grilled chicken sandwich options.
Side choices include Jalapeno Slaw, Crinkle Cut Fries, Dirty Fries topped with cheese sauce, bacon, banana peppers, chipotle bbq.
Plus a variety of beverages, shakes made with all-natural southern vanilla ice cream produced using hormone free milk, and a sweet variety of Sundaes.
The menu looks like It’ll be worth the drive from Monmouth or Ocean .
