This would make me very nervous, and Rutgers University students are a little tense after hearing about an armed robbery. It all went down at the New Brunswick Train station on the westbound platform. The train station is located at the end of College Ave.

The armed robbery happened just around 1230 am on Friday, and The New Jersey Transit Police are doing a full investigation according to the Rutgers University Police Department.  You can get more information on this story by clicking right HERE.

According to news12.com, a couple of the students spoke up and admitted they occasionally ride the trains late at night and that they are going to be on high alert next time. The New Brunswick Train station has a lot of foot traffic daily and a lot of that traffic is students of Rutgers.

Rutgers University Students Are Worried And Here Is What Happen With The Robbery:

The person in the robbery is part of Rutgers University and according to local police, the male victim was confronted by two male suspects. One of them had a gun pointed at the Rutgers University student and demanded his stuff. The male victim did not put up a battle and get as they asked.

After the robbery, the two suspects ran off into the night. Thank God the male victim was not injured. There has been no word of the description of the two suspects.

Police over at Rutgers remind students not to travel alone, but with friends and big groups when needed. There is power in numbers is what I say, but if it keeps us safe then so be it.  It is scary knowing we live in a period where we have to be careful just to go to school and get an education.

The New Jersey Transit Police are asking for anyone with information about the robbery or even in the area, to contact its detective bureau at 973-768-9401.

So in conclusion, be safe and make sure know your surroundings. Thank you for taking the time out to check this story out and always rocking out with me and 95.9 The Rat. Get more stories from me by clicking right HERE. Much Love and Cheers. - Gotts
