We went to the Cape May Brewery for my daughter’s 23rd birthday and had a super Sunday funday for sure! Their beers are awesome, and so is the vibe.
Just about 90 minutes from Toms River, the brewery has a chill vibe and friendly staff. They have rotating food trucks there every day so there is always food available.
Plus a cool gift shop where you not only can get warm or cold cases of your favorite Cape May beer, but also clothing and other stuff with the Cape May Brewing logo. All that aside, it’s the beer that everyone comes for. They are definitely IPA heavy, however, they do also offer some Lagers, Summer Shandys, Hard Seltzers, and even nonalcoholic homemade Root Beer!

The Cape May Brewing Tasting Room is one of the largest and most accessible in the state, with a dog-friendly outdoor Beer Garden open year-round out back. You can take their interactive, self-guided tour on your way in before you get in line for a pint or a flight. Be sure to visit the Brewtique gift shop before you leave to take home your favorite brews to-go and explore their latest collection of accessories and apparel.
I have to say, I liked the hard seltzers a lot, but I think my favorite beer was the Coastal Evacuation IPA. Crisp and clean, easy to drink. Plus 8 percent ABV. It’s a winner! Our entire party really enjoyed this place.
