(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Connor Bracken And The Mother Leeds Band “When The World Stops Turning”
Rocking the Hard Rock in NYC on April 19!
Connor Bracken And The Mother Leeds Band have a busy spring ahead. The Asbury Park Hard Rock outfit is coming into March like a lion with a number of upcoming shows. Catch them in action On April 5 in Philadelphia, April 12 in Boston, and closer to home on April 19 at the Hard Rock in New York City. Keep an eye on their social media for more live performance announcements.
Speaking of live performances, the band just put out a killer new music video that was recorded live at The Baronet on the Asbury Hotel Rooftop. The video perfectly captures the energy and excitement of a Mother Leeds show. Speaking of the video, Connor Bracken said:
“I loved playing up there! After playing in Asbury for some time we are now always looking to raise the bar for our hometown shows. The Asbury Rooftop gave us access to a location that isn’t like anything else in Asbury. We had very odd weather that day and it felt kind of otherworldly up there. Thank you to the entire Asbury/Lanes crew for making that happen!”
An otherworldly feel is very fitting for Connor Bracken and The Mother Leeds Band. Taking their name from a Pine Barrens legend, the group has never been shy of the unknown. That energy is on full display in their latest album “Nightbird Motel” and the song they performed in this week’s video of the week is track 1 on that release. It doesn’t just open the album, it opened their show on the Asbury Hotel rooftop. Speaking of “When the World Stops Turning” Connor Bracken said:
“When the World Stops Turning” was one of the first songs we put out as a band and it has remained our show opener for some time.”

Gotts' 6 Things To Fix A Hangover
Happy St. “RATricks” season and with all the partying about to happen it’s going to be rough on our bodies. Here at The Rat we want to help you out, with 6 things that will help with a hangover. The things that are mentioned have helped me through some rough times. It is that time of year we have a bunch of parades, pretty much have one every weekend. We do know it sucks waking up the day after and having our heads pumping in pain.
I know when the parade season starts, we always get so excited and do not worry about the day after. I for one wake up and run to the fridge, looking for something to drink because my mouth is so dry. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, just grab another beer. Believe me, I have done that before, but most of the time I just need water. Sometimes I have even woke up as if I was staring at the movie “The Hangover. I think I even had a lion in my bathroom once.
Gotts Has 6 Things For A Hangover:
I’m always the first one to jump up and get to a party or a parade. All the excitement and hitting the bars, meeting people, and of course slamming down the booze. Whether it be my favorite beer, Miller Lite or getting a bit more of a buzz going I’ll head over to take a shot of Jameson. You forget about the time and the next thing you know you’re waking up and saying ” Oh Jesus Never Again.”
