(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Steve Bello “Walk Through Lightning”
New Album “ACT NATURAL” Available Now!
New Jersey 7-string guitar virtuoso Steve Bello is at it again! His latest album “ACT NATURAL” is a blistering collection of high-octane electric guitar instrumental tracks. It’s a great listen whether your working out or just chilling in a chair. We caution against listening to it while driving because doing so may result in a speeding ticket. Needless to say, “ACT NATURAL” is an audio adrenaline boost. While such a feat is old hat for Steve Bello, the latest album did include a first for him. Speaking of the new release, Steve Bello said:
“It’s the second album to feature Attacker drummer Mike Sabatini and the first to showcase Attacker bassist Brian Smith. Also of note, it’s the first time I’ve had two drummers on an album, the second being Plasmatics drummer TC Tolliver on the song “Neurotic Bliss”.
“ACT NATURAL” was recorded at Bandmother Recording in Jersey City. It’s available in digital format at stevebello.bandcamp.com. Physical, autographed copies are available at stevebellomusic.com.
While Steve Bello’s original music stage show is always a sight to behold, he also lends his talent to local bands from time to time. Catch him in action at The Dog House Saloon in Westwood performing with Rock Hard on January 13. Speaking of the even, Bello said attendees could expect:
“A 54-year-old Steve Bello acting like 18-year-old Steve Bello cranking out songs by Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Judas Priest, you name it. “
Steve Bello will rock Jersey Rock on 95.9 The RAT next week! Tune in on January 9, 10 & 11 at 11:30 pm to hear cuts from his new album “ACT NATURAL.” Steve Bello will call in to the show each night!
Stay on top of everything Steve Bello is doing at stevebellomusic.com!
Steve Bello has released a number of videos in support of his latest album “ACT NATURAL.” His latest video is for a song he wrote after narrowly escaping being struck by lighting. Check out the video for “Walk Through Lighting”!
Where to Get Wings in Brick, N.J. : A Top 8 List
I love a good meaty wing made with a variety of sauces and rubs. Don’t kill me, but Buffalo wings are my least favorite unless they come with a good chunky bleu cheese dressing. My absolute favorite flavor is garlic parmesan (no dressing or dipping sauce needed), followed by Thai chili. I will try anything you suggest as long as the wings are meaty. I like both flats and drums, so there’s no issue there.
I hate overcooked skimpy chicken wings like some of the national chain restaurants sell. The only national chain wings I like are from Wing Stop. Their Garlic Parmesan wings are made with a dry rub, savory garlic, and buttery Parmesan cheese.
Here at the WRAT, we have a few wing experts on staff who I unreservedly trust when it comes to choosing a place that makes amazing wings.
Afternoon Drive guy and the WRAT’S Prince of Production, Jimmy Steal, is the unequivocal “Wing King” of Beasley Media New Jersey. Morning man and WRAT Programming Chief, Carl Craft deserves to share at least a small part of the wing throne with King James. Jimmy consumes more wings annually than all of the employees of Beasley Media N.J. combined. I’m going to add our promo guy, “Atomic” Rob to the list of experts. He likes his wings super hot & spicy. If it doesn’t have heat, the man won’t eat.
Jimmy favors the Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ food truck on Dover Rd in South Toms River, as well as Beach Haven’s, The Chicken or The Egg, and a place in Cinnaminson called The Jug Handle Inn.
This time around, we’re going to focus on the 8 favorite places in Brick, New Jersey to get wings according to the folks on the Brick Community page and the wings chat. I’m cheering you guys on because you selected some of my personal favorite.
