Silverton Is Getting A Hair Salon Just For Kids!
Kuts For Kids will be opening soon in the 1798 Hooper Avenue Plaza in the Silverton section of Toms River.
I noticed it over the weekend while stuck in the typical Saturday Silverton slog on Hooper Ave. The very popular strip mall has been home to such Silverton staples as China Express and Johnny G’s Pizza.
Additionally, after the recent closing of the beloved Pondrelli’s Italian Pastry Shop, a popular new baker is in that space as JG Desserts Bake Shop has taken over. Now Kuts For Kids is taking over the space previously held by Abraxas Hair Salon at the 1810 door address.
According to their Facebook page, Kuts For Kids’ full name is “Kuts For Kids In The Kingdom”. Moreover, it really looks like this place is going to be a place your child may actually WANT to go to to get a haircut!
The Facebook page shows photos of Kuts For Kids In the Kingdom’s interior construction coming along. There are cool little racecars to sit in while getting your cut.
Plus, it looks like there will be a nail salon, spa parties, birthday parties, and more! You can check out the photos here on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kuts4kidsinthekingdom/photos
While it seems the spa and birthday parties will be geared more towards little girls, Kuts For Kids seems to absolutely cater to boys and girls of all ages. Kuts For Kids In The Kingdom is currently taking reservations, which leads me to believe they will be opening later this month.
Meanwhile, they are also looking for more stylists. So if you have the skills, are looking for new a gig, and of course, don’t mind working with kids all day, this might be the right job for you!
I think it’s great that a place catering exclusively to children is opening in Silverton. Welcome to the neighborhood, Kuts For Kids!

Believe it or not, Jimmy’s first job was overnights at a Christian Radio Station. He claims he got into radio because like Rocky Balboa once said, “cause I can’t sing or dance.” Jimmy loves to write about all local happenings, especially around his town of Toms River.
