Robert Blake Passes Away At The Age Of 89
Rat Rockers this is just in with the Emmy award winning actor Robert Blake has passed away at the age of 89 years old. Robert Blake was the hit star of the 1970’s show called “Baretta.” That show hit starting from 1975 to 1978 we he was the star detective who carried the pet cockatoo right on his shoulder and he was always standing out with his disguises. I always remember that famous quote ” Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time” that is still popular today.
I do remember when he did the movie called “Money Train” with the great actors like Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson, and Jennifer Lopez to star in that one. Also back in 1993 Robert Blake won another Emmy as the star character in Judgment Day. That is when he was the very church going man who murdered his wife and three children.
It was not long after that he had to be the defendant in the real life saga of the murder trial of his own wife. That story was as crazy as it sounded. That was the shooting death of his wife at the time and her name was Bonny Lee Bakley and that was out side of Studio City restaurant on May 4th of 2001.
That was just as big as the OJ Simpson trial. He has been reported to say in some interviews ” It really hurts because America is the only family I had” during that time. He was always on record to be sure to say that had nothing to do with the murder of his wife.
A civil jury would later come to find him liable for her death and order him to pay Bonny Lee Bakley family a huge $30 million bucks in a settlement, which led him to file bankruptcy. Reports are coming in that he did pass away from heart disease at his home in Los Angeles.
