On The Walls Of The Rat Studios…
Over the course of 25 years you would expect we’d have collected at least a few pieces of memorabilia and whatnot. Well while we have, we also have made our own! Ratfest plaques to commemorate the yearly event adorn our walls along with plaques from record labels thanking us for making a certain album a hit, or commemorating X amount of sales of an album or single. My favorite piece would have to be the only one I keep on my office wall. It’s the 2013 Ratfest plaque we had made for our sponsors that year : Livenation, Shore Point Distributing, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Circle Hyundai, Harley Davidson Of Ocean County, 84 Lumber, Clayton Block, and Skyn Condoms. Their logos were all put on that plaque, but what makes it my favorite is that the 2013 Ratfest was the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Tour. An incredible event all day long, which I had the pleasure to broadcast live from and enjoy amazing performances from the day’s two headliners: Alice In Chains, and Janes Addiction! Plus on top of that I got to interview Jerry Cantrell then Stephen Perkins from our broadcast tent! All in one day!!! It really was an amazing day and night. Hot as balls, but amazing none the less. These are just a few of the literally dozens of items we have on hall walls, in offices, bathrooms, storage sheds, and even in our own homes! The spoils of victory I guess! I hope you enjoy this gallery, as I’ll be doing more in the coming weeks as we wind down our 25th anniversary celebration in a big way, with Shinedown at the PNC Bank Arts Center on September 10th…and no doubt, another awesome plaque for the wall
