Star Wars came out on May 25th, 1977…and the world of movies has never been the same!
Created, written, and directed by the visionary George Lucas, Star Wars was a brilliant and innovative mash-up of many film genres…from Sci-Fi to Fantasy to the Western to 1930’s Flash Gordon and 1930’s Robin Hood to Samurai films and more. Lucas took inspirations from all of his favorites, stirred them up, and created an entire cinematic genre of his own.
Starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Alec Guinness, and James Earl Jones…this cinematic classic forever changed visual effects in Hollywood as well as made a lasting imprint on pop culture that thrives to this day.
