East Side Dave’s Top 5 ‘SEINFELD’ Side Characters!
Actor Richard Herd has died at the age of 87…and while Richard was in great films such as All The President’s Men and The China Syndrome, I feel that he will be remembered best for his work in Seinfeld as Mr. Wilhelm, George’s boss when George worked for the Yankees. Here’s a clip of Mr. Wilhelm and George in action.
That got me thinking…Seinfeld had so many incredible side characters…so let’s rank ’em! And we’re defining any side character as someone who is NOT Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer. OK? So…without further ado…here are East Side Dave’s Top 5 Seinfeld Side Characters! Let’s go, Jerry!
5.) Mr. J. Peterman
Adventurer. Dancer. Furniture-Maker. Elaine’s boss is a damned legend.
4.) Tim Whatley
Before he became a pop culture icon on Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston was fantastic as dentist and part-time comedian Tim Whatley!
3.) Puddy
Elaine’s on-again/off-again boyfriend was not very bright…but he was ridiculously funny.
2.) Frank Costanza
George’s Dad was electric hilarity. A man with a short fuse (which was always wildly entertaining) who loved bra’s and Festivus.
1.) Newman
Hellloooooooo, Jerry. Villainous. Deceitful. Evil. Newman is the greatest Seinfeld Side Character of all time.
