Jersey Rock Artist of the Week: Steve Bello
New Album “ACT NATURAL” Available Now!
Get ready for a blistering week on Jersey Rock! We’re turning up tunes from New Jersey 7-string guitar virtuoso Steve Bello’s latest album “ACT NATURAL”. It’s an adrenaline-infused collection of high-octane electric guitar instrumental tracks. It’s a great listen whether your working out, chilling in a chair, or flying an F-14 Tomcat. Simply stated, this album will provide you with a serious power boost. While such a feat is old hat for Steve Bello, the latest album did include a first for him. Speaking of the new release, Steve Bello said:
“It’s the second album to feature Attacker drummer Mike Sabatini and the first to showcase Attacker bassist Brian Smith. Also of note, it’s the first time I’ve had two drummers on an album, the second being Plasmatics drummer TC Tolliver on the song “Neurotic Bliss”.
“ACT NATURAL” was recorded at Bandmother Recording in Jersey City. It’s available in digital format at stevebello.bandcamp.com. Physical, autographed copies are available at stevebellomusic.com.
While Steve Bello’s original music stage show is always a sight to behold, he also lends his talent to local bands from time to time. Catch him in action at The Dog House Saloon in Westwood performing with Rock Hard on January 13. Admission is free! Speaking of the event, Bello said attendees could expect:
“A 54-year-old Steve Bello acting like 18-year-old Steve Bello cranking out songs by Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Judas Priest, you name it. “
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The RAT Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear cuts from Steve Bello’s latest album“ACT NATURAL.” Steve Bello will call in to the show each night!

Yankee Legend Bernie Williams To Make His New York Philharmonic Debut
Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac back with an action-packed Sports Report for ya! We’ve got the football, the basketball, and the hockey…but first…a little baseball! And this is a cool story. Former Yankee great Bernie Williams will make his New York Philharmonic debut on April 24th at the orchestra’s spring gala concert at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall.
BRONX, NY – OCTOBER 18: Bernie Williams #51 of the New York Yankees hits a solo home run in the sixth inning during game 1 of the Major League Baseball World Series on October 18, 2003 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
In addition to being a five-time All Star and four-time World Series Champion for the Yankees…Bernie is also a highly-respected classically trained guitarist and has released two albums. Bernie began playing the guitar at age seven and has performed with Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, and more. And…he also jammed with fellow Yankee legend and outfield partner Paul O’Neill (on drums) for a Yankees promo for the MSG channel.
Bernie has also appeared on late night television. He and his band performed on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Check out the song!
One of my favorite Bernie performances was when he went into enemy territory at Fenway Park in Boston. Bernie was there to support Derek Jeter and play “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” for Jeter’s last game ever.
Bernie is pure class. Oh, and by the way, he should be in the Hall Of Fame! Seriously! Bernie’s stellar career went from 1991 to 2006…and in that time Bernie batted a career .297, with 287 home runs, and 1, 257 RBI. He was also the 1996 American League Championship Series MVP…a 4-time Gold Glove winner for his excellent defense in centerfield…a Silver Slugger winner (2002)…the 1998 American League Batting Champion…and as mentioned before…a five-time All Star and four-time World Series champ. Yeah…he belongs in Cooperstown! Anyway, congrats, Bernie, on the awesome gig with the New York Philharmonic! You rock! I’m Davey Mac…now on to the Scoreboard!
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MARCH 09: (L-R) Bernie Williams, Pino Palladino and Jimmy Vivino perform during the finale at the Seventh Annual LOVE ROCKS NYC Benefit Concert for God’s Love We Deliver at Beacon Theatre on March 09, 2023 in New York City.
