Jersey Rock Artist of the Week: Tom Kanach
Rocking Red Tank Brewing on Friday February 25!!!
Tom Kanach’s music career spans time, space, and genres. Active since the 1980’s, he has achieved success on the international scene, earned the respect of his peers, and come back around to do it again. His music is personal, honest, and emotive. He is a veteran of the stage and well-traveled on the road of life. All of that experience comes through in his singing, song-writing, and guitar-playing.
Tom Kanach was honored twice on the former Brighton Bar’s “Wall of Fame.” His Punk act Mischief and Alternative group Well Of Souls both adorned the wall. If the legendary club still existed, he might have made it on a third time. The Tom Kanach Band boasts a star-studded veteran lineup. Pete Wood of Dramarama plays guitar. Pounding the drums is Steve Buzbee of Bitter Crush. Producer/Engineer Joe Rowley handles the bass duties.
Tom Kanach’s latest EP “Change” is available now. Written in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, it channels experiences of both love and loss. It is at once raw and masterfully crafted. Like a well-dressed wound, it aims to heal. Experience “Change” on all streaming platforms via tomkanach.com.
