Live Music is Back at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park!
When it comes to putting on must-see live shows The Wonder Bar is well on it’s way to rivaling its cousin The Legendary Stone Pony. For almost 2 decades the venue has attracted high level national talent while going above and beyond to support the local music scene. The staff knows how to run a live show and their sound quality is top notch.
Before the pandemic took hold, one of the last shows to grace the stage of the Wonder Bar was a Jersey Rock Showcase featuring Morningside Lane, Roulette, The Skullers, The Cryptkeeper 5, and Kodiak. It was 3/5/2020 . That evening Morningside Lane lead singer Marc DelGuidice remarked from the Wonder Bar stage that the first positive covid case in NJ was just confirmed in his home town of Fort Lee. Approximately 10 days later all stages across the Garden State went silent.
We’ve all been through a lot since that night and we have certainly come a long way. Live music returned to the Wonder Bar on Saturday 6/26/2021 with a performance from Bruce Springsteen tribute The E Street Shuffle. Next up is Doors Tribute The Soft Parade on 7/3. Check out the full schedule HERE.
While The Wonder Bar is known for it’s live music shows, its also known for times when it “Goes To The Dogs.” Yappy Hour is a regular, outdoor event where patrons are encouraged to bring their K-9’s to make new friends and enjoy the sea air. While you’re at Yappy Hour, make sure to try out some of the beers Wonder Bar has on tap as well as selections from their high-powered kitchen! Yappy Hour is held in the fenced-off outdoor area of the Wonder Bar. Stay on top of the schedule HERE.
