The Lakewood Renaissance Faire returns to Pine Park, 500 Country Club Drive in Lakewood, the weekend of October 5th & 6th from 10 am til 6 pm.

Mingle and interact with hundreds of costumed characters, their endless merriment and mayhem. Try your hand at archery and see if you are a modern-day Robin Hood.
The Faire is best known for its awe-inspiring full-contact armored jousting tournaments. Watch gallant Knights defend their honor until the last man is left standing! See World Champion Jouster, Shane Adams, host of History’s Full Metal Jousting, and his troupe The Knights of Valour. Cheer your favorite Knight to victory as he competes for thy Ladies’ honor in this thrilling armored Joust.

Tickets to the Lakewood Renaissance Faire are 15 dollars for adults, 10 dollars for Seniors, and 5 dollars for kids 6-12. Children under 5 are free! Tickets to the Lakewood Renaissance Faire can be purchased here. Tickets will also be available at the gate both days.

Here are some shots from behind the scenes with the Rat’s Billboard Radiothon Setup Photo Gallery. You can see the Ocean Of Love crew prepping. As you may have heard on air already, the Billboard Radiothon is a year-long project. So when it comes down to the day of, once the scaffolding is up, there is a lot of last-minute preparation from setting up the command center with tables and chairs for all of the Ocean Of Love staffers to WRAT Engineering setting up the equipment for 4 days of live broadcasts. Of course one of the most important setups is on top of the billboard, where the Rat crew tries to make it as comfy as possible for your boy Gotts. After all, being outside in the elements for four straight days on top of a 50-foot scaffold is no easy task. However, Gotts as always is up for the task. Stop by this week to the broadcast at the Ocean Of Love Billboard, at 1331 Hooper Avenue, in the Lowe’s Home Improvement parking lot. Say hi to Gotts and the Rat Pack, and give what you can to Ocean Of Love, as they help kids with cancer in our area.
