Aldi Cuts Prices To Help Combat Inflation
Aldi Cuts Prices to Keep More Money In Our Pockets. ALDI has slashed prices on more than 250 items to help combat inflation, and that’s a good thing.
For a limited time, Aldi will help us keep a bit more money in our bank accounts.
According to a company press release, – As shoppers continue to feel sticker shock at the checkout amid stubborn inflation, ALDI, one of America’s fastest-growing grocers, is planning to pass along $100 million in savings through Labor Day by further dropping its everyday low prices on more than 250 items. The price drop will nearly double savings from last year, building on the grocer’s announcement last May reducing prices on products to save shoppers more than $60 million.
This summer, ALDI is reducing costs on already low-priced seasonal must-haves including picnic necessities, BBQ essentials and travel-ready snacks through Labor Day. Certain meats, however, will only be discounted through July 10.

More grocers are getting into the act. According to an article on the PIX11 website: ALDI isn’t the only grocery store chain that has announced price drops in recent months. Back in March, a Trader Joe’s spokesperson told Nexstar that the company had reduced prices on select items. Raw almonds dropped by a dollar per pound, while romaine lettuce hearts saw a 50-cent reduction, and green onions are now at 99 cents. On the flip side, the price of its bananas increased slightly for the first time in over two decades: from 19 cents to 23 cents.
