The 2024 Thursdays By The Sea is part of the City of Long Branch Free Concert Series.
This is a lovely way to spend a summer evening in the beautiful coastal surroundings of Long Branch.
In the last several weeks, I’ve come across many Jersey Shore town’s postings of free summer concerts, and I love it.
Without music I’d lose my sanity. I think a lot of people feel the same way.
The sights and sounds of summer are on the way and most of us can’t wait. Cookouts, hanging on the beach, and live music are just a few things that make a Jersey Shore summer complete.
Now, the nice folks from the city of Long Branch. have set up a weeknight concert series for the summer of 2024.
12 weeks, 12 music acts from June 13th through August 29th, you’ll get to see some of the area’s best cover bands free of charge.
You can check out a variety of artists performing different genres of music every Thursday from June13, 2024 through August 29,2024.
Where & What Time Can I See These Free Concerts?
The performances happen from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Boardwalk Gazebo at Pier Village – 66 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
Here’s Your 2024 Line-up of Summer Entertainment By The Sea In Long Branch:
JUNE 13 – TIM McCLOONE & THE SHIRLEYS – Performing a dynamic blend of rhythm and blues, classic rock, country, and Broadway, with a healthy dose of “girl group” attitude.
JUNE 20 – MOROCCAN SHEEPHERDERS – Whether people come to dance or just to listen, we make our instruments work overtime, taking classic covers and originals to another dimension, and never letting up until the crowd gets pulled into the primal, tribal vibe.
JUNE 27 – MOTOR CITY REVUE – Motown Tribute Band covering popular and rare Motown and Stax hits.
JULY 4 – NO CONCERT SCHEDULED
JULY 11 – SMOKIN’ JACKETS – Your fun lovin’ party rock and roll cover band. One of the top 5 cover bands in New Jersey
JULY 18 – BOB BURGER & FRIENDS – Jersey icon, Bob Burger is a seasoned songwriter having written songs for national recording artists Styx, Donnie Iris, Glen Burtnik, Bobby Bandiera, Kasim Sultan, and others. In performance, Bob has played with Sir Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Roger Waters, Max Weinberg, Southside Johnny and many more.
JULY 25 – EDDIE TESTA BAND – The Ultimate Dance, Rock, Soul, Rhythm & Blues Entertainment Band in N.J.
AUGUST 1 – MUSHMOUTH -THE most energetic and exciting New Jersey cover band experience! Come See What Everyone Is Talking About!
AUGUST 8 – PAT RODDY BAND – The band’s talented cast of musicians exudes a Jersey Shore soul vibe and has the musical versatility that appeals to a wide fan base. Whether he’s covering Springsteen, Southside Johnny, or Tom Petty at bars along the shore, performing at weddings, or playing for charity, Roddy and his band have always rocked the house.
AUGUST 15 – AFTER THE REIGN – a six-piece American country music group. Performing Original and Cover Music.
AUGUST 22 – THE HAVEN – New Jersey Shore-based rock band that delivers a diverse blend of classic and contemporary rock favorites.
AUGUST 29 – BRIAN KIRK & THE JIRKS (WITH FIREWORKS SHOW) – Brian Kirk & the Jirks perform rock, soul, pop, and disco hits that will make you ‘hustle’ onto the dance floor and shake your booty.
