Silverton’s Newest Pet Vet Is Coming Soon
The busy new strip mall at 1882 Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River is getting new tenants: Garden State Veterinary Services!

The strip already houses the reimagined Pizza Hut with a drive thru, that was formerly up the road in Brick. Furthermore, Silvertonians have been raving about the new Salad House, which opened earlier this year.

Now joining those two franchises, as well as the end cap AT&T Store, is Garden State Veterinary Services.

About Garden State Veterinary Services.
According to the company’s website, GSVS is a 24-hour emergency service veterinary hospital, associated with Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls. Furthermore, they are also associated with Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services in New York. Meanwhile, GSVS Woodbridge provides community based Emergent Care to patients in Middlesex County. Clinics are staffed by internship trained emergency clinicians. Appointments with Boarded Specialists are also offered. Moreover, these appointments are available with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology and Neurology/Neurosurgery and Oncology.

The Pet Business Is Big Business.
Most pet owners will tell you they would do just about anything to make their sick or injured little fur baby feel better, this guy included. In fact, according to the APPA, The American Pet Products Association, Americans spent $136.8 billion on their pets in 2022, up from $123.6 billion in 2021. The APPA expects pet spending to keep its year-over-year increase, projected to hit $143.6 billion in 2023. It’s clear that Americans are spending more on pets as time goes on. It’s also clear that dog’s know when they are going to the vet!

Meanwhile, there are many options in the Toms River area for Vets. However it’s nice to know we now have one right in our own community. There has been no word on hours of operation for the forthcoming GSVS in Silverton. However, the website boasts a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, 365 day a year policy. Furthermore, there is no appointment needed for emergency care.
So, it would seem in the not too distant future, Silverton pet owners will have a new Veterinarian, or at least the option of having a doggy or kitty urgent care on hand close to home!
