Two Men Try Using Cannon to Launch Drugs Into a Prison

In this post, we take you to Louisiana, where two men tried to use a cannon to launch drugs into a prison. Yeah and get this the drugs and some…

LANSING, KANSAS - APRIL 18: In this aerial view, inmates exercise in the maximum security yard of the Lansing Correctional Facility on April 18, 2023 in Lansing, Kansas. Inmates at the prison competed in a U.S. Chess Federation sanctioned chess tournament being held in 9 prisons statewide in a partnership between the Kansas Department of Corrections and The Gift of Chess non-profit. The initiative is designed to foster cognitive rehabilitation through chess, where inmates learn strategic planning skills needed to be successful on release from incarceration. Four winners from each facility will advance to a state championship to be held online. All participants in the tournament, win or lose, receive free chess sets and have been awarded U.S. Chess Federation memberships. The Lancing Correctional Facility is the site where Perry Smith and Richard Hickock, convicted killers chronicled in Truman Capote's book "In Cold Blood", were hanged on April 14, 1965

In this post, we take you to Louisiana, where two men tried to use a cannon to launch drugs into a prison. Yeah and get this the drugs and some other contraband were valued at $200,000. They were Jose Francisco Herrera Munoz, 18 years old and Angel Gonzales Gutierrez, 19 years old,, also it was a federal prison according to news reports. I guess we will see them on the other side of the wall that they were aiming for.

Here is the breakdown of what these two knuckleheads' really tried to get into the federal prison.
They planned to shoot $112,000 worth of tobacco and about $90,000 worth of meth over a security fence and onto the prison yard.  The reports didn't say if they were caught in the act, or if police caught wind of it ahead of time. I do know the cannon wasn't an antique, 19th-century artillery. It used compressed air, so it was probably closer to a t-shirt cannon. They were arrested for Attempting to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution and Attempting to Distribute Methamphetamine.

Gotts' Thoughts On This

I have fired one of these cannons and let me tell you if you turn up the Co2 on it you can get some distance. If you have ever been to Raceway Park in the day, you might have caught a t-shirt from us from the cannon. Shooting illegal things though into a prison yard is never a good idea.

If you think about it, $200,000 worth of stuff to be unleashed from the cannon must have taken multiple shots right? They might had to even change the Co2 containers a couple of times. Pretty stupid if you ask me in all honestly.
