Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Caivano
Debut Self-Titled Album Available Now!
Phil Caivano has accomplished so much as an artist. He’s a multi-instrumental talent, producer, and engineer with decades in the music industry. He’s also the rhythm guitar player for MONSTER MAGNET. It’s the kind of career many dream of having. However there was something that remained elusive for Caivano: A solo album.
It all came down to time, commitments, and priorities. Working on a solo project was buried under a mountain of other responsibilities. When the 2020 pandemic put many of those responsibilities on hold, Caivano was able to find the time. Just like all other touring acts, MONSTER MAGNET was temporarily grounded. In that short hiatus, Phil Caivano made his move. He reached out to his band mate, Bob Pantella and got to work. Speaking of his long-sought solo project, he said:
“This is a straight-forward, dirty rock-n-roll record. Tapping into my childhood influences that got me started in the first place and drove me to keep things simple and enjoy the process. The downtime of 2020 made me appreciate everything I’ve done throughout the years. It also let me use music as an outlet for all the bad things that were going on in the world and around me. Music has always been my getaway. I turned off the news and turned up the amps. It was really great working with Bob on the record. Not only is he a fantastic drummer, his musical sensibility was perfect for the project. It wasn’t work at all. Two guys getting together and this record happened.”
The result is an epic entry in the realm of Rock. Caivano’s eponymous debut solo release has been a long time coming and is certainly worth the wait. Fans of MONSTER MAGNET, fans of Hard Rock, and anyone who can appreciate a tight musical composition will totally dig this release.
“Caivano” is available now on all streaming platforms. Find it at downrightmerch.com or pick it up in person at Jack’s Music Shoppe in Red Bank. Being a Red Bank native, Phil Caivano is overjoyed to have his album on sale in his hometown record store. He said:
“Ive been going to that store since I was a kid.To have my first solo release at the store I used to shop in when I had a dream of making music. It makes me so happy.”
And we’re happy to turn up killer cuts from “Caivano” all week on Jersey Rock! Tune to 95.9 The RAT Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear tracks from the LP. Phil Caivano will call in to the show each night!

Top 5 Places In New Jersey Visited By Guy Fieri - According to Food Network
I can’t get enough of Guy Fieri or Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. I love to watch every Triple D marathon Food Network airs.
I never get sick of watching this show. Guy Fieri is a star. He looks approachable, someone I’d love to sit down and have a beer or cocktail with.
I love watching his star continue to rise. Guy seems like a great guy and he’s deserving of all his success.
By the way, “Guy’s Ranch Kitchen” is my second favorite show featuring Guy Fieri.
According to his “Guyography” at Guy Fieri.com, Guy began his love affair with food at the age of ten, selling soft pretzels from a three-wheeled bicycle cart he built with his father called “The Awesome Pretzel Cart.”
After selling pretzels and washing dishes for six years, Guy earned enough money to pursue his dream of studying abroad in Chantilly, France, where he gained a profound appreciation for international cuisines and further strengthened his passion for food.
He returned to the US and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Hospitality Management.
Upon his graduation, Guy jumped headfirst into the restaurant business, ultimately opening his own casual dining concepts in Northern California.
Then in 2006, Guy became a star, winning the Food Network competition show, “Next Food Network Star.”
Food Network gave him his prize, his very own show, “Guy’s Big Bite.”
We all know he’s hosted a boatload of shows and events for Food Network since taking his crown in 2006.
I’ve discovered that in all the years Guy has been hosting Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives, Guy has visited all 50 states.
It took him quite some time to hit up Delaware, he finally went in 2019, North Dakota, he did that back in 2020, South Dakota, also in 2020, Montana, in 2018, and finally, Arkansas in 2022.
Can you imagine eating at a bunch of places in all 50 states over a period of 16 years? How is it that Guy isn’t 500 pounds?
I came across the Food Network’s Top 5 Places in New Jersey visited by Diner’s, Drive- Ins, & Dives, and I wanted to share these places with you.
Thank you Food Network and all the folks behind the scenes on Diners, Drive- Ins, & Dives, you all do a great job. Keep up the great work.
