RIP To Dr Cheeko A Jersey Shore Legend !
Rat Rockers, we lost one of the greatest entertainers here at the Jersey Shore. Dr. Cheeko has passed away and our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this time.
If you were one of the lucky ones to see Dr. Cheeko play with his amazing band during the summers here at the Jersey Shore you know what I mean.
I myself have seen him and his amazing talent perform all over the New Jersey shore. One memory I have is when he brought me up and Martells Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant beach and it was one I will never forget, cause he said ” Gotts get up here you skinny long hair crazy guy and say something to the lovely people! ” Well, how can you ever say no to a legend?
I was so happy to be up there and talking to everyone who was enjoying the drinks, the weather, the summer and of course the awesome music he was playing. That dance floor was always packed when he was playing with the band. Now I know why he was called a “Doctor” he made the people happy and forget their problems.
He was truly one of the best bands down here at the Jersey Shore and will be very missed. I don’t think the summers will be the same without hearing people say ” YO we have to get to Martells for Dr. Cheeko he is playing right now, hurry up and get ready!”

Then you would always remember saying wow it’s Monday afternoon, this is going to be a good time, and you would be right by thinking that with Dr. Cheeko.
So Dr. Cheeko I guess Heaven is ready to party and they need ya to show them how much fun you gave us. RIP Brotha and much love- Your Boy Gotts 95.9
