Re-Visiting Radiohead’s OK Computer On Its 20th Anniversary
OK Computer is arguably Radiohead‘s ultimate masterpiece…and one of the greatest albums of the ’90’s.
Radiohead had already made a name for themselves with their first two records (Pablo Honey and The Bends), but it was OK Computer that showcased the British group as one of the most significant bands in rock.
Parts Pink Floyd and punk rock, mixed with a dash of White Album-era Beatles, OK Computer hits on many different levels. It mixes psychedelic and hard rock in way that is still innovative and amazing to this day.
With lyrical themes of paranoia, insanity, social anxiety, and more…it also is some of the deepest and darkest (and best) songwriting that Thom Yorke has ever done.
The special, 20th anniversary reissue (called OKNOTOK) will be released later this month. Keep your eyes and ears open for it.
And in the meantime, let’s sit back and enjoy a few select videos from this incredible album.
