New Jersey Ranked Among Top 5 States For Swingers
New Jersey is among the top 5 states in the country where the swinging lifestyle is on fire, according to a recent study.
New Jersey occupies the number 5 spot on the list. New York is even kinkier; they rank number 2 in the nation.
Taking the crown and the number 1 spot is our neighbor, Pennsylvania. This swing state is also a “swinger’s state”.
Speaking of swing states, Michigan ranks 4 on the list.
Who Conducted This Study?
According to Goerie.com, Adult novelty toy outlet Joy Love Dolls, perhaps experts in the field, analyzed Google Trends data over 12 months to reach its conclusions.
The toy shop included search terms “swing lifestyle,” “wife swapping,” and “sex parties,” in its methodology.
The data shows that Delaware Valley lovers are spicy, with Pennsylvania topping the list as America’s premier state for swingers.
New Jersey ranked fifth, with 512 searches per 100,000 people. We have some very adventurous people here in the Garden State.
It’s a common misconception that swingers are always focused on sex. Not true, according to Simon Hopper, co-host of the podcast “Bed Hoppers“. Mr. Hopper told USA Today, “Often the people that you meet, you don’t always have sex with them, you just make really good friends, and you can be open with them.” Mr. Hopper said that he and his wife, Carolyn, seek to create friendships with benefits.

How Can You Tell If Someone Is A Swinger?
In the Joy Love Dolls analysis, sex education expert Amy Nguyen identified a few common symbols that may indicate someone is involved in the swinging community:
- Pink flamingo, garden gnome, or pampas grass in the front lawn.
- Upside-down pineapple displayed in front yard, patio, or mailbox.
- The black ring on the right hand.
- Large mirrors in the home.
- Hot tub in the backyard.
I also heard that a big indicator would be someone wearing a shirt with pineapple designs. Oddly enough, 2 of my co-workers whose names I won’t mention, wore shirts displaying several pineapples to another co-worker’s retirement party last month.
We’ve got some kinky people in this office.
