Mark Tremonti Sings Frank Sinatra Coming To Red Bank, New Jersey – Plus My Interview With Mark
In May of 2022, I had the pleasure of interviewing Creed and Alterbridge guitarist and songwriter Mark Tremonti.
I always thought Mark was one of the most underrated guitar players in rock n’ roll. Even with a Grammy award under his belt for his hand in co-writing the Creed single, “With Arms Wide Open”, and being voted Guitarist of The Year for 3 consecutive years by Guitar World magazine, he’s still not the household name he should be.
I love the man’s work. I love his songwriting, and I love to watch him play on stage.
Unless you’re Eddie Van Halen, Slash, or Jimmy Page, no one raves about you as much as they rave about the frontman in your rock band.
For example, David Lee Roth, Robert Plant, and Axl Rose had no choice but to share the spotlight and boatloads of press with the brilliant guitarists they’ve worked with.
Mark Tremonti is not only a great guitar player, he is also a fantastic vocalist. I have heard him sing with his namesake band “Tremonti.” His vocals are strong and fit perfectly with the music he writes, but I was always more focused on his guitar playing.
I really honed in on his vocal prowess last year when I came across a teaser video release of his Frank Sinatra inspired album, “Mark Tremonti Sings Sinatra.”
Watching Mark sing Sinatra in the video blew my mind! Is this really Mark Tremonti ? Are my eyes and ears deceiving me?
I couldn’t believe how much he sounded like Sinatra. The delivery, the phrasing, the tone of his voice, all of it was just incredible.
There he is, wearing a tailored suit, standing behind the recording studio mic, surrounded by a world class orchestra that included musicians who had the honor of playing with “Old Blue Eyes” back in the day.

How did he pull this off?
Below, you’ll find the audio of my interview with Mark Tremonti from May 2022.
He tells the story of how he made his way to Sinatra land, and the cause near and dear to his heart that benefited from this incredible project. His beautiful daughter Stella takes center stage in this cause.
