What’s Going To Happen With Don’s Pizza King Building?
Hey, Rat Rock Nation Gotts here, and I have a question for the Jersey Shore and even the Belmar residents. What is the word around the campfire and what is going to happen to the old Don’s Pizza King building? The building is in a prime location at 811 Main Street in Belmar just outside the Pynoe Plaza.
I still remember still leaving around the area and stopping in to get some slices and a drink for a great deal. They opened up back in 1967 and closed back in September. It was very sad to hear that they were closing the doors for good.
If you remember the owners had to close cause it was just that time and the “King” was 80 years old and just getting overwhelmed with running it by himself, and cooking, and even now and then waiting on tables.
The Iglay family will always hold a special place in my heart and a lot of the Jersey Shore locals here in Belmar. What do you think should go there or maybe you heard of something that is going to be there?
If you do hear anything please let us know here on this post we definitely want to support a new local business that will join the family of the Jersey Shore.
We do have a lot of great pizza locations down here and who knows maybe the old Don’s Pizza will be another pizza place, who knows they might have left the kitchen hoods up and the ovens might still be there and ready to pick up where Don’s Pizza left off.
If you even have great memories let’s take a look back and reminisce on how great they were and how hard they worked. Thank you for reading and as always rocking out with me and The Rat- Gotts
