Make sure you come hungry because for $30 you will get to enjoy a pig roast, buffet, and 1 free drink. Plus event T-shirts and some PBA apparel will be for sale. Don’t forget 50/50 will be on site. Also, live music from the band Red House Band plays an array of covers from the 70s right up to today’s hit music.
A Look At Who The Brown Family Are And What Fiona Sage Is Going Through
The Brown family are Point Pleasant locals. Dan and Jennah are mom and dad, and they have a son, Evan who is in the 7th grade. Fiona Sage is just about to turn 3 years old. Fiona was sadly diagnosed with Aicardi syndrome. Jennah did have to quit her job to stay home, to to take care of Fiona. Dan on the other hand had to put in the extra hours and work at the Point Pleasant High School working as a janitor. Plus he volunteers and is very involved with a lot of the Point Rec sports programs.
What Is Aicardi Syndrome
This is a very rare genetic disorder, that affects primarily females, and as sad as it is to write this but has a life expectancy that doesn’t exceed childhood. People with Aicardi syndrome have absent or underdeveloped tissue connecting the left and right halves of the brain. They have seizures beginning in infancy, which tend to progress to epilepsy which can be difficult to treat. Affected individuals such as Fiona can also have chorioretinal lacunae, which are defects in the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye.
There are a lot more symptoms from this disorder, and that is why we ask you to please come out to Leggetts, on Saturday, September 28th. Please come out to show your love and support and let’s help out a family in need. I hope to see you out there.
