KAREN ALERT: Customer Gets Agitated For Being Called “Honey” Asks To Speak To The Manager
People have zero respect for fast food workers . I hate those stupid speakers at the fast food drive-thru because no matter which fast food restaurant you go to, you can never understand what the person taking your order is saying.
Perhaps they can’t hear what you’re saying while placing your order because they always repeat the order back and it’s wrong almost every time.
You sit there correcting them a few times, they repeat it back correctly a few minutes later and finally off you go to the drive-thru window to pay and collect your food.
During the course of this back and forth, the person who took your order calls you “Honey.” Ok, I’m fine with a term of endearment from someone who is just doing their job. They’re supposed to be customer service oriented, they want to make you feel good, and their bosses at corporate want you to come back again and again.
I’ve been known to call people “Love” or “Sweetheart” from time to time, but only if I mean it.
I’d like to believe most people are pleasant. Occasionally you wind up dealing with a miserable grouch who wants to make you feel like you are the worst person on the planet. These angry souls love the power of taking people down because their lives are a bundle of insanity and chaos.
Perhaps their spouse is a jerk, the boss is giving them a hard time, or their kids are driving them up a wall. It’s still no reason to take it out on every person who sails into your orbit.

My goodness, have some self awareness! Think about how your miserable ass comes across.
It takes more energy to be mean than it is to be kind. I’ve had my share of horrible days, even horrible weeks, but I always try to be pleasant.
