Keith Richards Will Induct Trenton’s Sarah Dash Into The New Jersey Hall Of Fame On Saturday
This is pretty cool! The Rolling Stones‘ Keith Richards will be inducting Trenton native and legendary singer Sarah Dash into the New Jersey Hall of Fame on Saturday!
Dash has worked will all kinds of acts throughout the years as a session singer and lead vocalist. Sarah was was in the group LaBelle when they scored a Number One hit with “Lady Marmalade.”
Dash made a connection with Keith when she was asked to do backing vocals on Steel Wheels. Afterwards, Keith asked her to sing on his solo records as he had become a big fan of her voice. Sarah passed away in September of this year.
The New Jersey Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be broadcast Saturday at 7 p.m. on My9NJ, along with the hall’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
