Major Drug Bust In Monmouth County And Across New Jersey
Here is some good news, and glad to report that we got this nasty crap off the streets, as the authorities in Monmouth County have arrested more than a dozen individuals in a huge drug ring.
This investigation was going on for about 8 months, according to mcponj.org.
The police arrested 17 individuals and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in cocaine and heroin, said Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago on Monday.
What Went Down At The Drug Bust
This massive drug bust, that started 8 months ago paid off for cops all across New Jersey. Two of the main people in this ring were identified as Yusef A. Kearney, 48, of North Plainfield, and Gerson G. Villeda Fajardo, 47, of Paterson.
Yusef Kearney was caught in Asbury last Friday with just about 300 grams of cocaine. Other arrests were Kaileem S. Davis of Tinton Falls and Tyking Pugh of Ocean Township.
More searches and arrests were made in Paterson NJ, and led to the discovery of a fentanyl mill operated by Pedro Torres-Rivera and Manuel Dejesus-Polanco, both 54. Police say both men were seen wearing surgical masks, and were witnesses packing drugs.
Previous Arrests
Police had warrants in Long Branch and Neptune Township last month, and seized 450 grams of fentanyl. That right there is a lethal dose for 225,000 people!
Also, they found 325 grams of cocaine, Xanax pills, 6 pounds of marijuana, and other drugs. Just about $27,350 was also in their possession.
The charges for the people in this drug bust will be serious, going from first-degree drug distribution to maintaining a controlled dangerous substance facility.
We are very thankful a lot less drugs are on the street around this area.
