OMG, I just popped over to Stub Hub and found that Yankees World Series tickets are ridiculously expensive. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but, wow… these ticket prices are nuts!
Our beloved New York Yankees punched their own ticket to Major League Baseball’s 2024 World Series by beating the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Championship series, 4 games to 1. Shout out to Juan Soto for driving in the winning runs with a 10th-inning home run with two outs and two runners on base. Just like that, the Yankees make their first world series since 2009.

They’ll meet the Los Angeles Dodgers who bested the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series, 4 games to 2. Of course, a win of that series would have put the Mets in the World Series instead of the Dodgers giving us locals a thrilling Subway World Series like we had in the year 2000. I was rooting for the Mets to make it just for the thrill of a Subway Series, but here we are.

The anticipation of the first two Yankee home games for the World Series is absolutely off the charts. Since the Dodgers had a better record than the Yankees, they get home-field advantage and the series starts in Los Angeles. The series features 2 games in L.A. and then 2 games in New York. If needed, game 5 is also in New York while games 6 and 7 are back in California.
That makes the first two games at Yankee Stadium next Monday and Tuesday, October 28th and 29th.
