Good morning, Sports fans!  Davey Mac here with another action-packed Sports Report for ya!  Baseball, basketball, hockey and more!  But first…a crazy story from the world of football!

ESPN is reporting that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers may consider joining independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. as his running mate!

Apparently Kennedy has been speaking “pretty continuously” to Rodgers over the past month and the website “KennedyRodgers.com” was registered last week through GoDaddy.  Rodgers is supposed to play for the New York Jets this fall…so who knows how this would work…but one would assume that Rodgers would have to retire from the Jets if he is going to run for Vice President.

  • Yanks' Ace Cole May Not Start Opening Day

    Baseball…where Yankee fans are NOT going to like hearing this.  The Yankees say that their ace and the reigning American League Cy Young winner Gerrit Cole is unlikely to start Opening Day because of a sore elbow.  Cole is scheduled to undergo more testing for his elbow injury today.  Uh-oh…..

  • Knicks Beat Sixers In Anunoby's Return

    Over to basketball…where the Knicks looked good last night as the Knicks beat the 76’ers…106 to 79.  The Knicks’ OG Anunoby returned from injury to score 14 points in 29 minutes…meanwhile, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hard each had 20 points…as the Knicks improve to 38 and 27…4th in the Eastern Conference.  The Sixers drop to 36 and 29…7th in the East.

    The Nets were off.  Brooklyn takes on the Magic tonight in Orlando.  The Nets are 26 and 39…11th in the East.

  • NHL Recap

    On to hockey.  The Rangers shut out the Hurricanes last night…1 to nothing.  Ranger goalie Igor Shesterkin had 28 saves to pick up the win.  Adam Fox scored the only goal of the game.
