Good morning, Sports fans! Davey Mac here with another fast-moving Sports Report for ya on a Tuesday! We’ve got football news, baseball scores, NHL playoffs, and more…but first…
…Let’s start with the NBA Postseason…as the Knicks took down the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their semifinals matchup in another thrilling game…Knicks 121…Pacers 117. Jalen Brunson was amazing yet again for the Knicks…as Brunson had 43 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists…21 of his points came in the fourth quarter again! Brunson became the first player in NBA history to have a run of four consecutive 40-point, 5-assist playoff games.
Brunson’s two Villanova team-mates were excellent as well…Josh Hart had 24 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals…meanwhile Donte DiVincenzo had 25 points, three rebounds, and two blocks…as the Knicks take a one game to none lead over the Pacers. Game 2 is Wednesday in Madison Square Garden.
All in all…the Knicks once again looked incredible. The game was yet another classic…and it looks like it’s gonna be another tremendous series for the Knicks who are coming off an amazing series with the 76’ers. In the other NBA Postseason contest…the Minnesota Timberwolves destroyed the defending-champion Denver Nuggets…106 to 80. The T-Wolves’ Anthony Edwards and Carl Anthony-Townes each had 27 points…as the T-Wolves are now up two games to none.
