(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: The Hungry & Dangerous “Young At Heart”
Rocking Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck on August 19!
The Hungry & Dangerous is back with a brand new single! “Young At Heart” is available now on all streaming platforms. Check out your options HERE. The track is inspired by the 1980’s vampire classic “The Lost Boys.” Jordan Taylor Moed got the idea one night after watching the film. He said:
“It just took me back to when I lived on the Jersey Shore and all the crazy antics my friends/bandmates and I would do. From the late nights, to the parties and to all the memories made, It just took me back to those moments/memories and I just started putting pen to paper. “
Moed now resides in Nashville but he has not forgotten New Jersey. In fact, he has regular contact with the Garden State because his bandmates still live here. Moed works remotely with drummer Matt Lewis to craft The Hungry & Dangerous sound. It is through that relationship that the new single came into existence. Moed said:
“Right before the band and I went on tour last summer, I spent most of June and July doing songwriter rounds in Nashville. During this time, I began to workshop this song to see what kind of reaction it would get, and if it was even worth pursuing. Every time I played this song live, it was always the song that got the biggest reaction and just knew we had something really cool here. When I brought it to the band, I remember Matt coming to me with great excitement and just saying how he could hear the evolution of the band in this song, and that got me super excited. “
“During this time, I really got into John Parr’s discography and it really inspired me musically to aim for this hard rock/pop style for this single, which is a cool nod to our debut album. We hope our fans enjoy this single as much as we enjoyed making it.”
“We are excited to be given the opportunity to be in NJ again for a show. New Jersey always delivers for us! “
