Rocking Facebook This Saturday 4/11!
These days are tough, surreal and dreadful. However, they are still full of hope. People have taken the cue from the brave doctors, nurses, hospital workers, first-responders, delivery people, grocery store workers, and others on the front line of the Covid-19 Pandemic to help flatten the curve and get the world past its current nightmare. As Jon Bon Jovi said, “Do What You Can.” The Jersey Rock scene is doing just that.
Jersey Rockers are streaming performances in the absence of live shows, keeping local music alive and lifting spirits. Some are taking it even further. NJ artists Sean Tobin and Chris Brown teamed to organize a massive streaming event. At Home Festival will rock facebook this Saturday 4/11 with performances from over 15 NJ artists including Zack Moyle of Lost In Society, Doug Zambon of The Vansaders, Bobby Mahoney, Rachel Ana Dobken, and many more. It’s a cyber-social event with a constant flow of live music that benefits Asbury Park Dinner Table, a charity with the mission “to support local restaurants while feeding local families experiencing food insecurity in Asbury Park.”
The event kicks off at 5:00 pm and will go until at least 10:30 pm. You can view it this Saturday HERE.
Chris Brown called in to this week’s Jersey Rock Podcast to tell us all about At Home Festival. Check it out HERE.
