Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son is quickly becoming a go-to opening act for nationally touring artists. After being tapped to open for Bon Jovi at The Prudential Center last year, they were selected to open for The Wallflowers at The Starland Ballroom this July. It’s great to see a hard-working local act get rewarded with such opportunities.
The Starland show was unfortunately cancelled due to a scheduling conflict on the part of The Wallflowers. While Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son will not be performing in Sayreville this month they will be in action at The Asbury Park Brewery on 8/1 with Jared & The Mill and Fernetz & The Fellons. Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com.
Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son’s self-titled album is out now and available for streaming on spotify. The eponymous LP features a great collection of tracks, including the tune from this week’s Jersey Rock Video of the Week. “Should Have Called You Up (Last Night) is a solid, remoresful ballad that builds from a somber opening to a soaring finale. It was recently featured on the Jersey Rock Weekly Podcast.
