Cops: New Jersey Man Who Stuck His Head In Pickle Barrel And Ran Off Turns Himself In

Ummm, what?  Yeah, so this one is a bit of a head scratcher on today’s No Sweat News.  A guy in Glassboro, New Jersey walked into a store, dunked his head into a giant pickle barrel that they had and walked off.  The clerk at the store was dumbfounded.  “All of a sudden I hear a splash.  I look over, and his head is soaked and there’s pickle juice all over the floor.”  Today we learn that it was some stupid internet stunt.  What’s more, we also learned that this guy turned himself into police.

Security cameras caught the whole thing on camera, you can see part of the nonsense below.

The Pickle Head Internet Prank

Some people are calling him the, “Pickle Monster”.  I’m calling him a stone cold idiot.  Why the ridicule?  Well, for starters, I love pickles and the store says that they had to throw out the whole barrel because, well, the health department frowns on head dunking.  (Kinda reminds me of that line from Caddyshack:  “I want the entire pool scrubbed, sterilized and disinfected.”).  And for seconds, it’s just plain stupid and here in Jersey we don’t do plain stupid.  You wanna dunk your head in a pickle jar?  Take yourself to Florida, pal.

The pickles were a total loss costing the store $52.

Police caught up to the pickle-head-dunk-guy.  Actually, it’s more accurate that he caught up with cops.  That’s because after the cops posted that they were looking for him, the dude turned himself in.  At least he did the right thing.

As for the ending of the story, the police had a fun way to wrap the whole thing up by using every pickle pun known to mankind in a social media post about the whole thing:

“We certainly RELISH the community’s help in bringing attention to the PICKLE we were in yesterday when trying to identify the young man involved.  Going forward, we would be DILLIGHTED if other incidents, especially those of a more serious nature, get the same exposure.”
